Welcome to the Eastern Cape's Open Water Swimming website where we hope to provide you with information on open water swimming races taking place in our region.

Zports play host to
Eastern Province Aquatics' 5 part open water swimming series, offering all registered swimmers the opportunity to achieve qualifying SSA times. The EPA Swim Challenge Series, which includes the EP 2013 OWS Championships, is held at Marina Martinique - Jeffreys Bay.
This series is complemented by the
Nelson Mandela Bay Ocean Racing Series to help swimmers for provincial selection and enable them to achieve qualification times for national events.
Please note that the wearing of swim caps
is compulsory for all Zports swimming events.
Season 5 (2013/14) will consist of the following swimming events at Marina Martinique (Jeffreys Bay);
- 10km
- 7.5km
- 5km
- 3km
- 1km
- Bank-Bank Kids 10u
Season 5 race days are
- Round 1 - Sunday 27th October
- Round 2 - Sunday 24th November
- Round 3 - Sunday 19th January
- Round 4 - Saturday 2nd February
- Round 5 - Sunday 9th March (includes EP 10k and 3k)
- Round 6 - Sunday 23rd March (includes EP 5k)
