Madiba Classic (Main Race) = two lap race (approximately 26km)
Novice Race = one lap version

This National surf ski race will launch the water sport program of the 2012 Nelson Mandela Bay Splash Festival. The race will be approximately 26km's, starting and finishing at Hobie Beach.
The direction of the course for the event will be determined by the prevailing weather conditions on the day to try see if we can get the bulk of the race done with the following wind.
Normal Entries close on Friday 30th March. late entries open from the 31st March to the 3rd April.
Prize money of R28,000 is up for grabs in the main event along with winners trophies and finishers medals.

Africa's largest Easter beach festival takes place at Hobie Beach Port Elizabeth from Friday 6th April through to Monday 9th April 2012.
